Penang Hill

Travel Info June 12th, 2007

The last time I went to Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera) was back in 1996 with a group of my friends. My soulmate suggested us to go to Penang Hill last month, I quickly approved her suggestion. For those who want to have a bird’s eye-view of Penang island, the Penang bridge and also the Straits of Malacca, Penang Hill at 830 metres above sea level offers a great panoramic view.

From the bottom of the hill, you have to take a train at the railway station to the top . The  costs is only RM4.50 and you are able to enjoy a historic journey to the top because the railway track was built in 1923.

Nothing much has changed since my last visit 10 years ago. The view is still breathtaking and surely a place to relax minds and release some unwanted tensions. Maybe the scenes has added some more buildings comparing to my last visit.
