Good news for Sarawakians as AirAsia is going to launch it’s first international flight from Kuching to Macau on daily basis. The flight is scheduled to take off on November 15 this year. This will be a great boost to local tourism operators in Sarawak.
Sarawak dubbed as “The land of the Hornbill” is known throughout the world for it’s nature and state cultural. Sarawak is closed for international flight since Malaysia Airlines ceased operation under its rationalisation exercise. Previously, Malaysia Airlines used to have direct flights from Kuching to a few international destinations including Australia, Frankfurt and London. With this introduction, AirAsia is hoping that good response will be received from the people of Sarawak. If the response is good, AirAsia may consider to introduce Kuching-Shenzhen route.
