Latest update: after a long absent!

Personal July 1st, 2010

иконивик услугиови услугиIt’s been a while since my last update. To be honest, after the last Google ranking update which this blog ranking was removed, I have lost my appetite to update this blog on regular basis. Most of the time, I just added copy/paste related articles. I feel like wasting my time and effort if I was unable to reap any profits from this blog (high Google ranking = more money$$$$).It’s better for me to spend my valuable time elsewhere. But, sometime I think it should not only about money. It’s about sharing of valuable experience and helping others. Ohh yes..I mean sometime I have to stop being a capitalist. (alternative = socialist)..Haha! My wife will hate this..(err..No more shopping perhaps..!!). The more I can share, the more it will benefit others. And surely I will get rewarded someday. Maybe not in term of money but in another form like friendship??..business opportunity??..Who knows!!

Looking at this blog (yeahh! I am looking at it now!!), maybe after this I will need to regularly update with my own travel experience.

I am Going To Bangkok by Train

OnlyFive, Personal November 18th, 2007

Weather in Penang is now unpredictable where it can be hot in the morning and heavy rain in the afternoon for one or two hours and then back to hot condition again after that. I am hoping that Thailand will not have the same weather condition when I am there next month. It will be a short family trip to Bangkok by train from Butterworth. Even though there are direct flights by from Penang to Bangkok but I would prefer to use train instead of flying there because it’s cheaper. At the same time, I can enjoy the beautiful scenery of both country along the way from Butterworth to Bangkok.

I have selected Bangkok due to the limited five days period which I have and Thailand is the nearest to go with my family. Eventhough Thailand will hold their general election on December 23rd, I don’t see any problem going there. The other place which I have in mind beside Thailand is Australia. Australia is the perfect destination to go in term of budget and what they have to offer. I will be able to get cheap flights from Jetstar and AirAsia. Again, time is the factor for me not to choose Australia. Maybe next time when I am able to get off days for at least one week.

I am Back!

OnlyFive, Personal November 12th, 2007

I am back from my trip to Dubai. The trip was great as i have managed to meet a few serious clients who are keen to do business with us. Apart from that, nothing much to talk about Dubai. Now, I have to start planning for my trip to Paris in January. There will be a slight changes in the original itinerary because the trip will have to include my wife as well. Since she has not been to Europe before, I might be spending a few days in Barcelona and Amsterdam. So, one week extension is in my mind. I will have to make decision for that one week extension whether to stick with the tour agency or go on our own.

A friend advised me to go with the tour agency because they can get good rates for hotels in Europe. Four stars hotels in Amsterdam like Park Plaza Victoria Hotel or Golden Tulip Apollo are available for less than 100 Euro and the same goes with hotels in Barcelona. I hope what my friend said is right. So, I am going to check with the tour agency for that one week extension and after that only I will make decision.

Happy Diwali/Divali/Deepavali/Deewali

Personal November 8th, 2007

Happy Diwali
I would like to wish all Hindu readers, bloggers, friends and visitors Happy Diwali/Divali/Deepavali/Deewali.

For those who is keen to know what is the meaning of Diwali/Divali/Deepavali/Deewali, I’ve got this from mr Wiki:

Diwali,or Deepawali, (also called Tihar and Swanti in Nepal) (Markiscarali) is a major Indian and Nepalese festive holiday. A significant festival in Hinduism and some of the other faiths which originated in India – Jainism and Sikhism. Today it is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs across the globe as the “Festival of Light,” where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every human being. The festival is also celebrated by Buddhists of Nepal, particularly the Newar Buddhists. The Sanskrit word Deepavali means an array of lights that stands for victory of brightness over darkness. As the knowledge of Sanskrit diminished, the name was popularly modified to Diwali, especially in northern India. The word “Divali/Diwali” is a corruption of the Sanskrit word “Deepavali” (also transliterated as “Dipavali”). Deepa/dipa means “light of the dharma”, and avali means “a continuous line”. The more literal translation is “rows of clay lamps”.

My Condolences to Mr Angkasawan

Personal October 29th, 2007

My condolences to Mr Angkasawan, Dr Sheikh Muzaphar for the loss of his younger brother who passed away yesterday. Younger brother Sheikh Mustafa, 32, went into a coma and died at the University Malaya Medical Centre after falling and hitting his head against a pillar at a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. Dr Sheikh Muzaphar is the first Malaysian to be in space. He is supposed to be quarantined for 10 days but was allowed to leave one day earlier to attend his younger brother funeral.

The grand hero’s welcome that was earlier planned has been postponed to three days after his brother’s funeral. After all, do we need to have that grand hero’s welcome? How much more millions will be spend?
