Tornado in Penang
Jul 13th, 2007 by bismut
The global warming effect has created unpredictable weather globally. Last week a tornado has occurred in Penang. The strength of this tornado is nothing to worry and it has never made to the shore. As far as I know, there’s no history has been recorded where Penang been hit by strong tornado. This tornado is maybe the strongest we have seen.

It’s rare to see tornado in Penang. So, Penangites were watching the tornado like watching a magic show without concerning their own safety. What happen if the tornado getting bigger and hit the shore? Many will die because of their ignorance.

dude…please dont post wrong information on your site…get ur information properly before posting…it was only a cloud which by coincidence formed a shape of a tornado…i hate people who post wrong information…kindly remove your article…no offence if i was rude…just doing my duty as a malaysian…
Hi
Please dont over post it, its good you post such “super rare natural” thing happended in malaysia, but please dont over comment it,
Malaysia is the most safe place now to live, therefore please edit your comment, or remove it.
Thank you
Thanks for your comment and concerns..
But we can never discount anything if we take into consideration of what has happened to the world lately..Global warming effects??
sorry guys, but this tornado in singapore east coast park, my friend happened to be boating at that time, took the photos, singaporeans will recognise the beach easily.
Ron & concern malaysian, it does happen before in malaysia but this one happens to be in singapore east coast park. By the way it is a waterspout since it is over the sea. Ron, a cloud with just a shape of tornado spiraling down is the biggest joke I ever heard.
who say malaysia does not have tornado? who say malaysia does not have tusnami? The picture is really a tornado.it speed about 78mph.it cannot lift up a car.
that one is water sprout…what a stupid malaysian
this pic is a lie theres never been a tornado in penang lately… i know this because my family always travel and theres never been a tornado, if there is a tornado it will be in the malaysian news…this tornado was in singapore east coast park… Raw or who ever you are you cannot simplely call malaysian stupid… have some moral attitude and a mind to think about that…
bro…that is water sprout…when is in water n moist form. Tornado is when it is on land and will be grade by either F1 to F6 of their wind speeds.
planet saturn near to us -
the ark float above the sky -
a tornado appear in the city -
fire rain drops from heaven -
people rush to the ‘ ARK ‘ -
Is it a dream? or is it really a dream?
@concern malaysian
I do agree your statement of “Malaysia is the most safe place now to live”, especially to the Mongolians!
This is a waterspout that happened in Singapore’s East Coast Park. Please do some research. If a tornado were to happen in Penang, it is sure to be covered by the news already. Stop insisting that this is a tornado, get your facts right.
i think it is real..coz a few weeks ago it really happen in perlis
what does perlis have to do with this?.he wrote penang and the pics from singapore.if you dont know this. penang and perlis are different states in malaysia.
Hey people pls dont fight for this…Actually the Truth is..REAL…Malaysia is No More Safe..the Tornado pictures Are Real…i found out about this on the Malaysian Newspaper…”Kosmo” and “Malay Mail” its real…the First Appearence is in Penang between Singapore..well i dont knw which one penang or singapore…The 2nd appearence is in Perlis..The Pics Are in The Kosmo Newspaper 14/4/2010…Check it out..i Have Never Heard tht Malaysia had a Tornado in My Life Ever as i am a Malaysian..This is The First Time i have Heard in my life…Maybe The Movie 2012 is telling the Truth i guess..
In Malaysia, tornado has never been recorded but it is possible to happen. According to the meteorologist, tornado could happen anywhere around the world. Furthermore, the global warming is getting serious. If the tornado did happen in Malaysia, it is nothing strange. The tornado in this picture, whether was in Penang, it is not that matters, what matters is, if this tornado was happening in Asia, it means that tornado could happen in Malaysia if the weather conditions are fit. According to the size of the tornado, it was estimated F2 tornado which the wind force is really terrible. The tornado that occurred in Perlis, 14/4/2010 was estimated as F1 tornado, which the destruction is less but it could expand to higher class in Fujita scale that measure the force of tornado. However, the exact scale only can be confirmed after check the destruction after tornado.
